Monsoon Rust Modal Distressed Series
New Special Release
Due to the popularity of distressed Cerakote on our heavily worn (nicked, scratched, dented) pens, we're turning this into a "series" of pens. The Distressed Editions will be official small run Cerakote releases, featuring a variety of two-color Cerakote finishes. The Monsoon Rust is name we're using for distressed orange over a grey base, referencing our original orange and grey Monsoon special releases.
The Monsoon Rust Distressed Modal is our Modal pen featuring heavily worn aluminum body with a custom Cerakote application. A coat of Sniper Grey (H-234) is put down first and partially cured. While still tacky, a coat of Hunter Orange (H-128) is applied over the Sniper Grey and that is partially cured. The Hunter Orange is then removed by hand with an acetone soaked Scotch Brite pad. The results are a wearing away of the orange and revealing the grey beneath, however, all of the dings and dents hold the orange which darkens from the force wearing process. The result is a unique look on every pen and a brand new way of representing the Monsoon colorway. The hunter orange takes on a wonderful rust tone during the wearing process that completes the look. Tumbled aluminum clips and buttons have been selected for this release and a black Delrin slider. Ships with a Pilot G2 refill with black ink.

Lifetime Warranty
We offer a comprehensive Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects on parts and pieces we manufacture in-house. We also offer a Lifetime Service & Repair option requiring the customer send their item in to us and in most cases we will repair items free of charge. If an item is deemed as being damaged due to negligence, a charge may be applied to repair the item and we will contact the customer in those circumstances. Items not manufactured by us MAY have a limited warranty, please contact us for questions via the contact form.
A New Darkhorse
Our latest addition is our take on the traditional bolt-action pen with a side button and deep-pocket clip. The Modal took over half a decade to bring to fruition with so many iterations along the way, we didn't know if it would ever make it to production. Our initial sketches for this pen go back to 2018, and Josh created a crude prototype in early 2019. Those pens look nothing like the finished product, and it took a lot of thinking outside the box to finally get the version of the Modal you see today. The upper body of this pen is one of the most intricate and time-consuming pieces we've ever designed. The upper body and clip went through six separate engineering changes from launch until the design was finalized in 2025. Externally the pens look nearly identical with the current production models being 1/8" longer than the original. The Modal is on pace to overtake the Bolt for our bestselling pen just a few years into its existence. Currently we're updating standardized versions for late-2026 release as well as planning out a full slate of special and limited releases through early-2027.
Previous Releases
We specialize in producing unique and interesting limited and special release small batch products to ensure we have something for everyone. We partner with an ever-expanding group of artists and professionals to provide versions of our pens that range from hand-engraved to force patinated to hand-painted. Small batches range from 10 to 30 units some will never see a second release.
