After the huge success of the 2025 Anniversary Vertex in brass, we moved to finishing the first production run of the Brass Vertex. We're wrapping up the final pieces, and it's time to launch our latest premium production fountain pen. The Brass Vertex is something truly special, a pen we honestly never planned on releasing. When we sat down to design a clipless fountain pen prioritized for pocket carry, machining it out of solid brass was the last thing on our minds. Surely it would be too heavy. Too unwieldy to write with comfortably. Our assumptions were WAY off the mark. Not only is the Brass Vertex comfortable, it's one of the most balanced, ergonomic heavy pens we've released ourselves or had the opportunity of testing. It's a game changer for sure.
The Brass Vertex is our Vertex pocket pen with snap-cap and sleek vintage inspired design fully-machined from raw brass rod. Like all of our brass pens, we use full rod stock rather than brass tube or forming/molding brass. This results in pens that are more substantial, sand and polish better, and patina at a uniform rate. The body, cap, and grip are all machined in-house from C360 brass rod to ensure a uniform appearance along with the quality expected in a true brass pen. All parts are meticulously inspected BEFORE we sand and polish each pen, ensuring the final product is blemish free. Final assembly is done when you customize your choice of nib, after which we wipe the pen one final time with a polishing cloth before sealing it in a plastic bag so it arrives with the brilliance only brass brings to the table. The Brass Vertex is machined from C360 free-machining brass on our CNC Swiss Lathes in Mesa, Arizona. The #6 nibs units are manufactured by Peter Bock in Germany. Also included with each pen are 2 black Monteverde ink cartridges. Each pen is designed and machined, by us, in the USA.

We offer a comprehensive Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects on parts and pieces we manufacture in-house. We also offer a Lifetime Service & Repair option requiring the customer send their item in to us and in most cases we will repair items free of charge. If an item is deemed as being damaged due to negligence, a charge may be applied to repair the item and we will contact the customer in those circumstances. Items not manufactured by us MAY have a limited warranty, please contact us for questions via the contact form.
Pocket Fountain Pen
Clipless fountain pens aren't rare, but they can be controversial. The Vertex fountain pen wasn't our first try at a clipless fountain pen, in fact, it wasn't our second or third. But it's the only one that's stuck around and become a fan favorite. The design of the Vertex is based around the idea of a near-seamless transition from the grip to the body with an elongated grip made of acrylic or polycarbonate giving the impression of an "ink window". Secondarily, our implementation of o-rings in our pens allowed us to create a pen that caps with a custom o-ring, seals the nib with an o-ring, and seals the body with a third o-ring. Providing the possibility of eyedroppering the pen without the need for silicone grease. The shape is a modern cigar-style that draws inspiration from classic fountain pens from Wahl-Eversharp, Parker, and Sheaffer, but does so in a way that feels fresh and new. Though we designed the Vertex with resins and plastics in mind, we've since expanded to include aluminum, and most recently, fully-machined brass versions. Our most comfortable fountain pen by a large margin, the Vertex has quickly shot up the ranks in popularity, edging out the INK for our top fountain pen spot.
Previous Releases
We specialize in producing unique and interesting limited and special release small batch products to ensure we have something for everyone. We partner with an ever-expanding group of artists and professionals to provide versions of our pens that range from hand-engraved to force patinated to hand-painted. Small batches range from 10 to 30 units some will never see a second release.
