As we began talking about phasing out the EDK pocket pen, we knew that we needed a pen that would perform the same duties, but a new design would take time. Since we'd just released the Modal, the easiest option was a pocket version that would bridge the gap until our new pocket pen was ready for launch. The Pocket Modal was meant to be a placeholder, a pen that would be retired as soon as the EDK replacement launched. However, the response to the Pocket Modal has been so positive, we have been forced to keep this on hand going forward. Much like the Modal, the Pocket Modal uses the traditional side-actuated bold-style knob though ours is an ergonomic oval that moves in a modified "checkmark" bolt rather than the traditional J-slot. Don't let the small size of the Pocket Modal fool you, this pen packs a punch when it comes to writing. Choose from either the Parker ballpoint refill options like the Schmidt Easyflow 9000 or the super smooth liquid rollerball of the Schmidt P8126, each provides a different writing experience for different use-cases.
