The RKiV field pen takes the best aspects of the EDK and Retrakt combining them into a pen that looks fresh and is as durable as anything else we've released to date. That's not all, the RKiV is built around the only made in USA ballpoint refill, designed to write anyhwere, the Fisher Space Pen® refill. We've sourced black PR4 refills from Fisher for the default refill for this pen release.
The Monster Green RKiV field pen was based on direct Club Feedback, and offered to Club Members at special pricing early. The remaining pens are now available on the main site until they sell out. This release is our latest pocket pen, the RKiV, sporting a near-neon monster green Cerakote from tip to top and matte black hardware that completes the "monster" look. The Cerakote is a flat finish which keeps the shine down and gives the pen a great texture perfect for use in any situation. This release is limited and when it sells out will be placed on our discontinued list of Cerakote RKiVs. Select from a variety of ballpoint refills to better suit your needs.
The RKiV field pen is another step forward in our journey to make pens that are made to go anywhere and write everywhere. The RKiV is a small-format, click-style pen similar to the EDK but with a new look and design that allows us to shorten the manufacturing time, reduce product lost due to anodize issues, and is based around a ballpoint refill we've never featured before. The vision for this pen was to create something that wasn't a direct riff on one of our existing pens. The EDK used a combination of the Retrakt upper body and a shortened Bolt grip. The Modal uses a Bolt grip and the Pocket Modal uses an EDK grip. For the RKiV we took smaller elements (tip taper, micro-rings, etc) and built from that aspect for a single-piece pen designed to use a standard oil-based ballpoint refill. Our internal tests have proven the RKiV is a beast of a pen in a pint-sized package, and with the Fisher Space Pen® refill, it WILL write in any condition.

We also offer a Lifetime Service & Repair option requiring the customer send their item in to us and in most cases we will repair items free of charge. The RKiV field pen is our latest addition taking inspiration from both the Retrakt and EDK but moving our brand in a new direction. The initial idea behind the EDK was an everyday carry pocket pen; something with a small "footprint" that didn't make any sacrifices in terms of how it wrote or felt in the hand. We missed the mark by building it around the Schmidt P8126 refill with a push-button mechanism. This created a lot of ink stained pockets and empty refills. After a few years, we added the Schmidt 950M pressurized refill to fix this problem which provided a solution but an imperfect one. The RKiV field pen has been designed from the ground up around the Fisher Space Pen®refill, the gold-standard for pressurized, everyday carry ballpoint pen refills. This means the RKiV can still utilize our smooth push-button mechanism without worrying about the ink wicking away into the fabric of your pockets. A go-anywhere, write-anywhere pen perfect for any situation. Need to take notes while on safari? The RKiV has you covered. Don't mess around taking a cap off your pen when you're on location and need to sketch an idea, the quick deployment of the RKiV's refill means you don't miss a beat. This was the first pen from Karas Kustoms that caught my attention. Other than the fact that it was on sale, the color just screamed at me and told me to get it. I wasn’t too sure about RKiV but after watching a few YouTube videos I was convinced that it wouldn’t be a lousy purchase and I was right! It was PocketPriorities that got me looking at Everyday Karas and then Karas Kustoms and I am super glad I found his channel.
I absolutely love matte cerakote finish, and the action of button is just as smooth as the EDK if not better. I really like the grip section and the one piece body construction, almost similar to the EK Basik and Compakt series, which makes the pen extremely rigid and solid. I showed my wife what this pen does in the dark with a black light, she thought it’s a cool party trick and that I’ll never lose this pen. I never want to, I’m keeping this monster near and dear to me at all time. Love it and thanks for making this!
This is my favorite color of green, so having another amazing pen in my signature green is fabulous! It writes beautifully, feels wonderful in your hand, and has a high quality look and feel as well.

Karas has done it again! The monster green color screams attention when I take it out of my pocket. I've gotten a lot of "Wow, that's a cool pen" & "You won't have trouble finding THAT pen" comments. This one pairs perfectly with my monster green Modal and Retrakt. And, the green trio stored in my 4k (monster green) pen holder. Thank you for producing well-made writing instruments.
